Caricature 03:10
Another year to sit at a desk at the zoo The pharmacist’s empire, forcing the social taboo Once a young runner who would cause internal friction I'm fed from the hand of a common prescription And there’s someone on another planet Embraced by what I once was I try to escape whatever’s holding me in But it’s pointless to try when you’re caged in your own skin Because my brain’s in the bath With a sociopath How I’m staying dry I’m not quite sure Vision is blurred And I can’t see the world Is this my own reflection or a caricature? The confusion remains but chaos is nowhere to be seen Surrounded by zombies, searching the streets for caffeine Venders in the alleys screaming “New life for the right price” Now my courage has vanished down the sewers with the men and mice And oranges drop like clockwork But rotting peels plaster the ground I try to revive any fruits who’ve survived But it’s pointless to try when the apples are poisoned Because my brain’s in the bath With a sociopath How I’m staying dry I’m not quite sure Vision is blurred And I can’t see the world Is this my own reflection or a caricature? It’s not mind expanding, it’s thought commanding Masking all the Jekylls and Hydes Keeps me awake at night, spoiling my appetite The force and the object collide Insolence insulin hypocrite’s heroin Is there any difference at all? Medical heresy, created to ensure the Illusion that your ten feet tall Because my brain’s in the bath With a sociopath How I’m staying dry I’m not quite sure Vision is blurred And I can’t see the world Is this my own reflection or a caricature?

Hypocritical 03:18
I told a truth deep within a lie I dug my hole till it touched the sky I killed a man but he's still alive I stole my car cause I couldn't drive My ideas make sense till I say them out loud Cause the concept is solid till the actors have bowed When I step of the stage to beyond the fourth wall Life doesn't make sense and yet I'm hypocritical I think that nonsense can save us all Cause if you jump then how can you fall? I see the spectrum when my eyes are closed Can I explain what nobody knows? I got the truth hiding behind my hand So I try to make noise that you'll understand Like the old stray dog I won't come when you call I'll run the other way because I'm hypocritical This section has no words This section has no words I think that nonsense can save us all Cause if you jump then how can you fall? I see the spectrum when my eyes are closed Can I explain what nobody knows? My ideas make sense till I say them out loud Cause the concept is solid till the actors have bowed When I step of the stage to beyond the fourth wall Life doesn't make sense and yet I'm hypocritical

Empty Nest 04:35
Airports, taxis, bus stops A suitcase, toothbrush, and comb We’ve traveled to nowhere and back again Just to find you another home The box still needs its stamp The wall still wants its coat The rush of panic from dusk till dawn Is all that’s keeping you afloat The choice is only the first of many It shouldn’t carry this much weight You’ll be standing in the line of the dead When you realize it’s too late They know who you are now But who else could you be So put you’re tongue on an 8 by 10 And try to give them something to see The expert can’t know all The wild one must stay tame You’ve crawled six miles since yesterday You should have brought a piece of fame If they think you’ll abuse the honor They’ll hand it off to someone else So tell them what they’re waiting to hear But make sure to be yourself The raindrops have stormed out So you can go back inside You must have done something right this time Because they want you along for the ride The end game has begun The third act’s a one-man show Don’t try to pack everything I gave you Your luggage might overflow Prepare yourself for an endless burden Till your down on one crooked knee I won’t be there to pick you back up And that’s what it’s like to be free

I took this job to pay for college But can I afford to loose my life “Cause tomorrow I get shipped to the front of the line And I got to prepare for a fight I’m not even used to the sound of a gun And my helmet slips over my eyes I try to stay in formation till my destination So the sergeant won’t see through my disguise Who are we fighting for? Why do they need me? Why are the temples burning down? Who will rescue me? I thought I’d be in danger the moment I landed But all I can see is a nation Buried in the sands of desperation Year after painful year I guard the border no one in or out Not even those with permission Briefing seems like years ago What is my real mission? Who are these people? Who try to run and hide Of all the soldiers out there I’m left without a guide! Who are we fighting for? Why do they need me? Why are the temples burning down? Who will rescue me? Who are we fighting for? Why do they need me? Why are the temples burning down? Who will rescue me? Are you really as scared as I am?

Guilty 03:18
Guilty Of leaving you behind, I’m Guilty Of walking past the signs, I’m Guilty Of even thinking I could just walk away I didn’t mean to steal your heart no, I didn’t think I’d have to pay Guilty Of never wanting to choose, I’m Guilty Of never reading the news, I’m Guilty Of never seeing past the black and white Or never feeling the need see The bloodshed brought to light I’m an antisocial stranger who’s devoid of shame I’ve cheated and snatched my way through every game I’ll leave you in the gutter with a broken name And if you’re world is turning blue at least you know who to blame Guilty I let you down until you hit the floor I don’t need more accusations so don’t talk to me anymore Somehow you let your guard down Long enough for me to get away But the walls have ears and it’s perfectly clear An injustice has occurred And now they’ve locked me up Just to see what I have to say I’ve got no time to justify my crime So I’ll present you with one little word GUILTY I’m an antisocial stranger who’s devoid of shame I’ve cheated and snatched my way through every game I’ll leave you in the gutter with a broken name And if you’re world is turning blue at least you know who to blame Guilty I let you down until you hit the floor I don’t need more accusations so don’t talk to me anymore Guilty Of never catching your fall, I’m Guilty Of wanting you at all Guilty Of trying to beg you to ignore what’s true Please don’t leave me now Or I’ll be guilty of loosing you

Move On 03:55
The yard’s been cleared of leaves and weeds The candles have been blown out The photo album’s full to burst And ready to close no doubt Treasure maps and the magic bean Are trapped behind the TV screen And the only giant left to fight Has turned in for an early night I guess it’s time to move on The dustman screamed at his dirty floor The watchman has stolen my time The anthem’s drilled in every skull And life goes on part time See each son with a discount guise Bragging about their own demise They all pretend to know my name And breaking down is still fair game So it’s time to move on The road’s run out of lefts and rights I’ve left my labyrinth behind The highs and lows have balanced out And I don’t feel inclined My shadow’s slunk through every town My shoes and my soul have been worn down From dragging on through every mile I’d rather stay here for a while Until it’s time to move on
